Peer Review, Record Review & Independent Medical Evaluation IME

AMBR offers Peer Review, also known as a Record Review, and Independent Medical Evaluation (IME) services to its clients by providing access to a variety of medical professionals in almost every medical specialty, including Dental, in nearly every state in the U.S. These professionals have been selected based on their ability to provide accurate, credible and defensible opinions on appropriate treatment, identify pre-existing condition versus accident related conditions, duration of care, fit for duty evaluations, standards of care, medical necessity and a host of other issues that the claims professional must determine in the course of the claims settlement process.

AMBR uses medical professionals that are currently practicing in a clinical environment and/or are teachers or instructors at some of the nations leading medical schools or teaching hospitals.

How It Works

The claims professional submits a Peer Review Request Form with specific questions to be addressed by the consulting physician. AMBR identifies the appropriate specialist based on the request. AMBR submits all requisite information to the consultant, coordinates the case through completion, and returns the final product to the claims professional. In the case of an Independent Medical Evaluation (IME), AMBR coordinates the entire process including patient scheduling and document processing.
